About me

From Small Town Dreams to Big League Scenes

I grew up in a small town where you shared dreams, cricket bats, and tiffin. A place where dreams were big, streets were smaller, and cycling with friends was the closest thing to world travel.

Somewhere between gully cricket and group studies, I figured out that life rewards the curious (and the slightly stubborn). So, I went ahead and got myself a B. Tech with Distinction, followed by an MBA where I struck gold — literally (Gold Medallist).

Those early years taught me resilience, teamwork, and how to lead without a title — skills that came in handy when life switched gears into the corporate fast lane.

Those life lessons laid the foundation for a journey that’s been anything but ordinary.

My Corporate Journey

It all started at Birla Cement, where I first swapped my engineering and management textbooks for real-world challenges. From there, the road led me to the high-octane world of automobiles, where I spent years steering national teams at General Motors, Maruti Suzuki, and Bajaj Auto.
But corporate success wasn’t enough — I wanted meaning too. So, I took a detour (or call it a purposeful pit stop) into the social sector, working on education, skill development, and even selling regenerative Agri-products — yes, I’ve literally gone from cars to crops. Let’s just say my resume has range — from cement to sedans to soil health. It’s been a ride full of learning, reinvention, and plenty of pivot points.

Becoming an Author

I didn’t wake up one day and say, “I think I’ll be an author.” Life decided it for me—with a pink slip and a suddenly wide-open calendar. With no meetings to attend and no emails to dread, I found myself writing—not a résumé, but reflections. What started to stay sane became a way to make sense. And somewhere in that quiet space, I thought: Why not share this? Maybe my stumble could help someone else steady their path. And just like that, a jobless guy with too much coffee became… The What-Now Author.

My book Fall, Don’t Fail is my love letter to resilience — and a reality check on what corporate life really feels like when things fall apart. Based on real experiences, it dives deep into the emotional rollercoaster of layoffs and upheavals — something I’ve witnessed too many times. The world seemed to agree, because it became a #1 Amazon Bestseller. Twice.

But writing didn’t stop there. I’ve penned poetry in both Hindi and English, capturing everything from fleeting feelings to deep reflections.

And then came — Credy vs Goofy.
If Fall, Don’t Fail was about rising with resilience, this book is about leading with credibility. After spending years observing what truly inspires teams, I realised that the leaders who create impact, trust, and long-term success all share one thing — they choose to be Credy: grounded, consistent, and credible in every action.

Credy vs Goofy is my way of celebrating that choice. It shines a light on the everyday behaviours that build credibility and the subtle missteps that quietly erode it. The message is simple: credibility isn’t a title, it’s a habit — one you practise in conversations, decisions, and the way you show up for people.

If my first book helped people find strength in tough moments, this one helps them create strength around them — by becoming leaders others trust, follow, and feel safe to grow with.

Mentoring the Leaders of Tomorrow

One of my proudest legacies? The people I’ve mentored. From freshers to future CXOs, I’ve loved being a coach, sounding board, and sometimes a motivational meme in human form. I believe real leadership is about helping others unlock their superpowers — and if I can do that over a cup of chai or a call, even better.

One of my biggest joys? Watching people I’ve mentored grow into rockstar leaders. Whether it’s through 1-on-1 conversations, leadership frameworks, or just being a sounding board, I believe real leadership starts with lifting others up. Bonus: I’ve also learned a lot from them — like what Gen Z means by “vibe check.”

Laughter Yoga (Yes, it’s a thing)

I’m a certified laughter yoga facilitator and founder of Laugh Every Day – Nirvana. Because sometimes, you don’t need a reason to laugh — you just need a group of equally enthusiastic people willing to laugh at absolutely nothing. It’s joyful, it’s weird, it’s healing — and it’s kind of my superpower.

Sports, Especially Cricket

Cricket is my first love. I play it, follow it, obsess over it, and yes — I’m still waiting for that call-up from the Indian team. Until then, I’ll settle for heated debates over team selections and reliving World Cup wins like they happened yesterday.

Bollywood & Movies

I love cinema with drama, emotion, and enough dance numbers to tire a backup dancer. Bollywood has my heart, and if the movie ends with a slow-motion walk and a power-packed monologue, I’m all in.

Experimental Cooking

I’m the kind of person who looks at a recipe and thinks, “but what if we add some masala… and maybe replace that entirely?” Cooking for me is part science, part improv, and fully therapeutic — especially when it turns out edible.

Excellence in Motion is an initiative I started to pursue excellence in everything I do. It’s not just about setting high standards, but about consistently applying those standards in action—no matter the task or challenge. Whether it’s a small project or a big endeavour, Xcellence in Motion drives me to go beyond the expected and deliver results that truly stand out.
